Description
The Mount Medix Mount Protector is a product specifically formulated for the taxidermy industry to clean, condition and prevent infestation in mounts. This product is a must for infestation prevention. The product is designed to be used minimally during semi-annual or annual cleanings. The formulation contains high quality hair and hide conditioners to protect the mount, siliconized oils for easy dusting and no residue formation, plus it contains a small amount of the Mount Medix active insect ingredient to keep mounts from being damaged by moths and dermistids. Mount Protector will restore the natural sheen to both hair and feathers, giving the mount a life-like appearance.
Applications:
Professional Use – Applying a coat or two of Mount Protector to the mounts prior to delivery will help keep your work looking good while in your client’s care. This is accomplished by misting on a light coat, allow it to soak in for ten minutes and wipe with a soft cloth. Professional Taxidermists can also purchase the product wholesale, so they have it as a service to their clients.
Client Use – After semi-annual or annual cleaning with Mount Protector mist on a light coat, allow it to soak in for ten minutes and wipe with a soft cloth. If your taxidermist hasn’t already made an initial application, let the Mount Protector thoroughly dry and apply a second light mist coat.
Available sizes and usage:
The Mount Medix Mount Protector is available in 16 fl. ounce, 32 fl. ounce bottles and 128 fl. ounce ready to use sizes with accompanying sprayer, in some areas Mount Protector is also available in a 32 fl. ounce concentrate that makes 2 gallons of Ready-To-Use product. They should clean many sets of horns and antlers as the product usage per set is small. How many mounts it treats is heavily dependent on the size and product absorption.
